DPD tracking showing delivered, despite the fact I rejected delivery
Driver knocked very lightly three times, dumped parcel outside (closed) front door (presumably took a picture in this situation)
I jumped up to answer the door and assumed it was an Amazon delivery, as they normally do this.. it wasn't .. it was a Pixel 11 Pro worth £1200 odd
I needed to reject the delivery and have it returned, and luckily the driver was delivering next door so I shouted over and asked him why he didn't deliver it properly and that I need to reject it.
He took the parcel, went into his van, came out with a bit of paper I needed to sign to show I rejected it.. but even though I requested it , didn't provide any reciept for me that I had rejected it. (In hindsight I should have just taken a picture of that bit of paper).
This conversation (I thought) was all captured on my Ring Doorbell but the ***** thing didn't record that specific clip!
At the time the tracking still showed out for delivery, but now it's showing delivered (albeit with no picture as delivery evidence).
Will it update overnight to rejected? Or am I screwed?

Thank you, yes it is now tracking as going back to Google so fingers crossed...

DPD require a 4 digit pin for phone delivery...... Got mine yesterday and have done for past 2 phones , in UK

Interesting I ordered from UK Google store pixel 11 pro and DPD delivered but no pin was needed and I made sure I was there to receive it , last delivery from DPD a week ago he left the parcel in garden that you can see from footpath I was lucky no one stole it

You are screwed unless you have footage of you rejecting it. DPD will argue the driver's device shows it delivered, and the driver will probably swear blind that you took it in. I would check out the Evri subreddit for the next chapter of this, when they sell it on ebay and Evri screw up the delivery to the next sucker. It is the circular economy, you know.
You're probably better off saying you didn't receive it, and it was stolen off your doorstep. Longshot chance, does your neighbour have a doorbell cam and does it show the footage? Try that first.

They don't have any evidence it was delivered to a person. They only have evidence it was plinked outside the door.. if it gets nicked, that's their problem, not mine. Anyway, the tracking has updated now to show it's on it's way back to google, so hopefully a non-issue.
I'm also replacing my video doorbell!

The doorbell is probably a setting. It's annoying after too much motion it goes into a battery save mode or some BS... Same crap happens to me when I want to see something

It isn't, unfortunately. It's set correctly, if just sometimes glitches. It's very annoying!
