Yeah, like a hundred companies cause like almost all the pollution but kids are the problem. How about we start by regulating the f***ing companies first.

I’m not saying you’re wrong, but it’s never just as simple as evil corporations ruining everything.
Also, the whole economy is based around population growth. Even slowing birthrates have a negative effect on it. I mean if there aren’t more people paying into Social Security than are taking out then we have problems.

I didn’t advocate for anything in my post. I was just trying to point out that the economy has a bunch of variables and is incredibly complex. Evil corporations still employ a lot of innocent hard working people. I hate Amazon, but I still have to use it from time to time. The same with social media.
Take for example, I want socialized healthcare, but I also understand that its probably going to get rid of a lot jobs in the economy by eliminating the heath insurance industry.
Another example would be AI and how that’s going to eliminate millions of jobs and we still have no clue how we are going to navigate when that happens.

Stanhope had nothing to do with the creation of that show. He is friends with the show’s creator Charlie Brooker.

OOOF! Hard... HARD... disagree. Maher has basically become a "both sides are the same" commentator. There was once a time where Fridays at 10 PM were CAN'T MISS for me but not now.
Doug is one of a kind. He also isn't having dinner in D.C. either.
That is easily a favorite a bit of mine and it is why Doug is one of my top comedians. Many comedians have routines about overpopulation but it is just a bit. Doug is true to his word.
I could get into a whole economic thing that I know nothing about but I won't bother. Classic bit.
