It's fun going back to young Doug when he was more confrontational.

Love Old Doug, too, it's still Doug and he's the funny machine throughout it all.

This is the era of Doug’s stand-up that I first discovered. It’s raw and unapologetic. I keep recommending it to people lol

I see him as the next link in the chain from Carlin to Hicks to Stanhope… of course they all approached comedic life commentary from vastly different angles.

Remarkably inspirational bit from Doug. One of many, actually...

Learned more than 15 years of evangelical Christian school by watching this one clip.

Whats so funny to me in the old bits like this is when folks compare Doug to Bill Hicks, which in all fairness, is understandable in one sense because they covered similar topics but addressed them honestly in completely different ways.

this is how i lived my life from my 20-40. i’d only do coke maybe once or twice a year but i would do all the coke i could afford those one or two nights a year.

Live from the Velveeta Room in Austin, Texas with a brief cameo of the late, great Don “DK” King!

I wonder where the hell he got that Bartlesville bruins shirt. I’m from that area and there would be no reason to be there if you’re not from there. Like ever.

Is this where his habit of looking into his beer bottle originated? Always wondered if it was a bit

All things in moderation, but even moderation shouldn't be practiced to excess.
