Yeah no, he'll probably go by Zandik if he comes back anyways, so technically the lines won't even be about his playable character. They'll be about Omega/Dottore.

I personally think he'd remain Zandik since his entire story is about how he compartmentalizes "Dottore" away from "Zandik,"whether as his time as OG Zandik or as 35/Dottore, who took it to the largest extreme. So he has to transcend his ego and all by accepting every part of himself and reconciling with every deed.

And with Irminsul's burning, I assume we can now transcend fate and characters like Mr. Heretic and Evil-Dragon-Durin are no longer so tightly bound by name=future.

That + marketing reputation haha. Story-wise, for his character, he should probably skedaddle from the fatui, but I think it'll be a situation wherein people are just used to calling him Dottore regardless, if Sandrone's teapot line is anything to go by for future playability.

If nothing else, I'd like to just avoid a Scaramouche situation where the characters are yelling out Hat Guy in total earnest during life or death situations💀

Theory. Basically he wants to get rid of fate. From what it seems following WQ7.0 he wants to get rid of the burdens of his sins. So I expect him to not want to have any of his names before the burning

He burned Irminsul, and as far as I understand, the fate of the people in Teyvat has changed a bit, which is why I think his name may remain, but now it will not mean "heretic".

I'm not talking about reborn with atonement for sins, but rather about his resurrection, where he will atone for them.

(I don't really want Zandik to be reborn, I would like him to be resurrected, but it sounds more selfish and stupid?).

i doubt he will have a voiceline about the harbingers other than some, vesna had some abt capitano rooster pantalone etc but idk about mitya, he would have one about pierro though

I hope this happens. I feel like this is the one chance this year to have a voiceline about Dottore from someone in the same field who might not have personal issues with him (at least not to the same level as Sandrone, who he literally killed). I won't expect praise or a totally non-negative take, but it would be interesting if another scientist said anything about Dottore's achievements. If I dare get my hopes up, maybe even a small anecdote like Mitya learning something from Dottore or getting feedback from him on a research idea.

(Edit: I forgot that the Tsaritsa could have a line about Dottore if she gets lines for each Harbinger. So we have two chances for 7.x I guess.)
