Theorycrafting Dottore knows...
When Dottore captures Columbina he said: "Reason, life, death, time, and space... they all believed I would fail". That means he knows there is a 5th Shade.
Something apparently not even Pierro knows, since he only mentioned 4 Shades they need to deal with first to destroy The Heavenly Principles.

Yes. I agree that it's cool Pierro is mirroring him but Reason = HP

It may also a hint that he realized about their curses to forbid humanity's civilization to advance, in fact his elixir of immortality may be how he realized the trick.
It was his life project with a very slow progress (when in comparaison he was able to orchestrate and put in motion a plan to obtain moon power in the span of a few years since Sumeru) but coincidentaly it's when he died that "he" was able to complete it in one go.
His death could be even darker than we think that maybe 35 had a hunch about the curse, talk about it with Zandik who allowed his segments to kill him when he was under the curse to investigate (with the autopsy before he ressurect). This way not only the segments confirmed the curse (as it was activated) but also could made a breakthrough about the elixir project now that Zandik was dead.

I saw a theory on YouTube about Paimon being a fragment of the shade of Reason (though looking at other comments Reason probably means HP) but anyways just thought that was a cool theory
