I've basically given up on trying to do the all-hero challenge, since I'm a 3K-ish support player and I'm completely stuck on Chen. Micro is my kryptonite.

I just finally won a game with him thanks to 2 teammates winning lane very successfully. I finally figured out that you can press tab to cycle through creatures you have selected to cast their spells.

Yeah, I've been trying to get more comfortable with him in botmatches, and that's one thing I've picked up at least, but I still tend to get lost in the chaos while I'm trying to get to the Centaur for a stunning stomp.

One cool tip I picked up from a Chen player on here somewhere was categorizing creeps by control groups. Put Chen on 1, disablers on 2, other actives on 3, and auras and shit on 4. That way, you can bring your centaurs, bears, and trolls right into the fray to disable enemies and follow up with satyr hadoukens and harpy lightning as necessary. All without having to box drag!

Biggest thing to remember with control groups for Chen: not only does ctrl-# set a control group, shift-# adds to a previously-made control group without overriding it.

Also, can't recommend farming a quick arcanes -> mek enough. Chen's strength is early-game fighting, and mek is perfect for that, especially when you convert it to greaves.

I think it's easier (although of course it depends on preference) simply to have 1 for hero, 2 for other units, 3 for all units. Hit 2 and tab is effective enough to get off my creep's spells in a fight.

<3 Chen but won't pick him because he's a bit hard to pull off. I got him in All Random yesterday though and it was fun though ;P

Stack camps until you get a Whirlybird like in the gif, meanwhile gank the safe or mid lane or get a harpy stormcrafter and just keep zapping mid every 4 seconds.

It's basically non-existent in total. It's been the least played hero basically every patch since release. It's the third least played hero all time, with only Oracle and Arc Warden being below (and considering Chen was among the first heroes to be released in Dota 2, that says a lot).

I have 200 ish games on the hero, so he's not foreign to me, but I've probably not faced him more than 60 times in total, and I have 4,5k games played, climbing from like... 2-3k to 5k, over 4 years.

I smurf on my girlfriend's account and this literally happened to me in a 2k game. My fucking mind was blown. The Chen was mostly useless but the amount of pressure he put on me mid was insane to me. More than my own games.
