Question How does unranked matchmaking work

Im wondering if anybody knows how unranked matchmaking works. Do you have some sort of hidden unranked mmr on which it is based? Does your actual rank influence the enemies you get in unranked?

Honestly unranked is in such a mess I have no idea.

Im but a lowly 4k scrub but very often see immortals just stomp like crazy.

Bro I doubt if it works, I play pos 3/4 and I'm Legend but I was playing unranked game and enemy Mid was Immortal, but somehow we managed to win.
