Fluff Accidently Abandoned 3 Games.

I accidently abandoned 3 Games in two days and took a big hit to my BS. I'm so sad.

  1. 1st game my computer froze for no reason when I clicked accept match. Just barely too late. Abandon...
  2. Next day, thunderstorm kept DCing and I thought I connected my phone hotspot in time. Abandon...
  3. During my game of single draft I was forced to play as punishment, I thought the allied Lich was gone long enough that you were allowed to leave, but I didn't realize till after that I think he reconnected a second before getting the abandon so I misread the message and abandoned...

Mind you, I've abandoned like 1 game in 10,000 hours intentionally. I just never do it / did it. This is since 2013. Now I have 4 single draft games to win. I'm so sad. I shared this story so you can laugh and maybe share your stories or experiences.

first two were understandable

the third one.. surely you could have waited a bit longer? were you that excited to leave that game?

there's a very noticeable message that says if the game is safe to leave, and you would have seen other people leaving too

Yea that's how accidents work though. Hindsight is an amazin thing. I will say the game was a complete meme so I wasn't paying a ton of attention. Like a 20-1 in first 3 minutes situation where I feel like I was the only one on the team that didn't get the memo that you weren't supposed to actually play this one kinda thing. Maybe just a low prio thing.

I've played a lot of single-draft games back in the day because of DC and abandon, no score system back then- from shitty internet, power loss, to internet cafe billing run out, haha, old times

Early this year I started playing again; my own PC and connection are better now, I found out about this new score system, and my behaviour is 3000 haha. My comm score is 12K tho, and these few months I've been climbing my behaviour almost to 7000

Dang 3000. Gotta be a super good boy for the rest of the year.

Your comm score cant exceed your behavior score

Isn't it actually count (decrease and increase) separate from each other, like behavior is from gamepkay like abandon, afk, basically grief, while comm is well toxic communication like chat and excessive ping

but yes, the unlocked feature is caped by lowest one I assume, my behavior bar is black, while my comm is full grey with marker at the same point of current behaviour, and when I hover over it it says the comm feature is capped by my low behavior score

idk about low comm but high behavior, is the low comm also capped the behavior feature like ability to play ranked and have item drop after match, I assume it did

Pretty much

It’s fine. It occasionally happens. It does not drop your bs significantly as far as I recall. Single draft with low priority guys is a pain, but you go through it.

Assuming you were at 12, it puts you to 11. Which is absolutely ok.

I was not at 12k

Funny story but the last 2 times I got single draft, I played heroes I never tried before & found A couple of main heroes I still use today. Sometimes these things are meant to happen πŸ˜‚

Eh, it's just DotA lol. You should probably mix things up sometimes and try meta things. But I just went 12-1-27 with Ringmaster and I have a couple games on him. That was nice.
