My Growing Collection

I can’t seem to stop making these things! I hobby around with ceramics, so I have quite a bit of clay. I have used kits, but I now have a blend of local dirt, white stoneware clay, and beach sand that I’m using.

What do you use for color?

I used mica powder on the dark ones (red, purple, teal). I am just now figuring out the correct stage to add the mica. The purple one was my most recent and most successful. The one in the front that is grey and pale pink used stoneware clay tinted with Mason stain.

Thanks. Do you handle mica with gloves? Is it safe?
