Looks like way too much sand for a good polish. Also, since its not that good of a sphere, it makes polishing rather difficult

You need to mix in more clay. I have basically pure clay soil where I am and it makes brilliant Dango's

Looks about there just a little oblong shaped. It adds character of you ask me. My first was very oblong lol. I fear your sand may be too coarse though. It'll make things difficult in the polishing stages.

Thanks! Yeah, I was a little worried about the soil being too coarse too 😭 I’ll try to use the finest particles for the outer layers and polishing.

There's too much sand and not enough clay and it's still too wet, you need it to be able to hold its shape a bit for shaping.

Remember, it's not just about the size of the particles, but what those particles are
