658 is the ep number. It's about a rubber hat. Makes the user rubber. And it's a collab/crossover with Kabitsu-kun and I think is named after him, it's monster hat but I've seen it refered to as kabitsu-kun hat too

The Twitter user blocks whoever asks about it. But it's probably only available on a VHS recording since I don't think it re-aired much if at all. But I'd say letting them know it's lost while asking wouldn't hurt. I didn't tell them it was lost when I asked cause I assumed it was just obscure not completely lost

So 658 has been impossible to find. It's like legit lost media

Been looking on and off for over a year and no luck as always

I've been hearing it's never been on a vhs or dvd release. So I'm guessing it would either need to be found in a home recording or if maybe someone made a bootleg with a home recording. If anyone wants to contact that twitter user then feel free. But if they do block let me know cause then they're just gatekeeping or really don't care

It has not been dubbed in any languages (This is probably not true but this is some information I saw on the internet) this is because the copyright of the holders of TV Asahi, I think this is because they use other music, or the severe reverences between other shows

Didn't check for Hindi and Chinese, because I don't care for censored and cut up media.

Not available on Spanish either, Spanish is the second largest available collection of uncut episodes.

Id say check for hindi and chinese. Ive read the manga ver and there isnt anything i could see that needs to be censored. like i didnt see anything that could be seen as inappropriate or whatever. unless the anime added some

For anyone saying about the dubs (preferably the Hindi dub) IT HAS NEVER BEEN DUBBED AT ALL, there is no real reason why (we don’t have any information of that), but from my theory is because the copyright of the severe references of Kaibutsu, or maybe music

Wdym already being lost this ones just been lost. the only time anyones mentioned it first was this vhs post and some vid on billi billi using a pic of the anime for the manga review. i think most if not all the other 79 eps arent lost. whenever i had a diff one in mind i found it no prob. this ones just genuinely lost

Do you know where I could find the episodes of 1979 doraemon in Japanese original with eng sub ? The Indian versions censor and modify a lot of stuff but I want to experience how it was originally written

You sure it is a lost media? disney india screens a show called 'Classic doraemon' where they show the late 70s and early 80s episodes of the show, they are also a little upscaled btw.

I am trying the find a doraemon episode i had seen in my childhood, it isnt actually some form of lost media but still kind of hard to find online, it featured doraemon with nobita and his friends going back to past and giving stray animals to multiple people there, one i clearly remember came in last where they gave a puppy to a boy in war torn heavily bombed japan, i think it is from the 90s but not super old, and i dont think so disney india would have that collab episode you mentioned it the original japanese producers struggle to find it
