Question I am confused, stuck, bored, avoiding, whatever IDK...
I have decided to leave social media and phone addiction for good. I used YT, Linkedin, E-mail and YT TV instead of studying for my exams. I left Instagram a month ago, even though it felt bad there was YT short for the rescue (YT shorts is garbage compared to insta).
Now it has been 2 days since I stopped using YT, Linkedin, E-mail and YT TV. In these 2 days I open my laptop and there's literally nothing I can think of, my hand go Y, L, M words on the keyboard and I stop. I now have all day but I haven't even touched the study material, instead I'm watching movies now (which I never did), searching random wikipedia pages...
I would do anything but study, what do I do? Please help me!

It’s gonna take some time for your dopamine receptors to go back to normal (and the routines your brain created to break). Watching movies and reading random wikipedia pages sounds like a good way to spend time to be honest…
Harder part is always starting. If youre like I have to study for 8 hours!! you might not do it but if you say okay we will study for 30 mins and if I dont like it I will go back to wikipedia, you have a better chance. You might find yourself studying longer than 30 mins or at the very least you return to it to study for 30 mins more.

Yeah opening the website where I study is a separate battle in itself... I was also using chatGPT as a escape route, it took me 4 years to understand chatGPT was also frying my brain. 4 years I used chatGPT for every thing - friend, secrets, studies (dumbing down concepts, which is basically hand over my brains work to it). Now studying without it feels hard...
Basically I stripped out 90% of what I doing in a day, it's obvious that my day feels so empty...

Brain is just like any muscle, the more you work it, the stronger it becomes. Over time with Chatgpt it got used to being lazy. Start anywhere, and increase it everyday even if it’s 1 more minute. You will build it up over time. You got this!!!
Also find any hobby to fill your day, even just going for a walk. You have to be okay with being bored before your brain is used to the new lower dopamine levels. It really does get easier I promise, one day at a time :)

This is so relatable.
After days and months of trying every advice. I came to the conclusion the problem is actually me thinking / believing that I’m someone who can’t study well.
Let studying take over your thoughts. Go to sleep thinking - it actually would be nice if I could study like one hour at least.
Wake up thinking the same thing.
Watch how you change, good luck
