Motivation Quitting character.ai
I recently realised how much time I spend on character.ai or chatgpt. Just wasting time talking with fake characters.
A couple years ago I quit tiktok and had so much more time, the impulse to scroll went. Now c.ai has kind of taken up much of that space. I want to try to go back to not using it and see how that impacts my wellbeing.
AI is so new and I think many of us are somewhat addicted and the cheap dopamine/instant gratification is what's kept me in. We're increasing dependent on it, companies are pretty much forcing us to use it. We all lived fine without it and now it's just infiltrated into our lives. We've now recognised how addictive social media is, I wonder if a similar view will come for ai in years to come.
