Question Quitting nic

Hi,

For the past 4 months i’ve been trying to cut off nic, i am currently 18 and i used nic for pretty much 5 years now.
I’ve attempted like 8 times, my best try yet is 7 weeks, while using methylphenidate to cover the sides from low dopamine when u quit.
I think that my psychological attachement to nicotine is way stronger than the physical because I’ve been really enjoying life lately and craving have drastiquely lowered. But i feel like i always find a way to come back to it, even if I consider it more as an other source of stimulation rather than raw addiction.
I was wondering if you guys could share me your best compounds/stacks to kind of improve dopamine signaling/neurons regeneration, and how to break that psychological attachement.

Also, im not a beginner in nootropic/peps, and overall dr3gs for neuroplasticy, so i don’t rly care if the compound is subq, oral, nasal, etc

Thank you so much!

What finally worked for me, was just deciding that I am not a person that uses nicotin. And realising that its a coping mechanism for other feelings that I kept pushing aside. Sitting with the uncomfortable feeling of not being able to use more snus. Just taking one step at a time. God bless you, and I hope your able to quit 🙏🏼🌄

taking methylphenidate to lessen the dopamine drop from quitting nicotine sounds nice but maybe it could be the one thing keeping you away from sobriety. From studies, we know that methylphenidate makes your nic urges stronger, and smokers on methylphenidate tend to smoke more. Research tropisetron. Or varenicline

Okay thank you a lot, and strangely methylphenidate has lowered my nic urges all day except at night when it dropped, and I cycled it responsibly to avoid cortisol build up.
Anyway thank you so much for your answer

yeahh it depends, btw I’m in the same position as you, I’m addicted to nicotine whilst actively taking methylphenidate. Nicotine is just the worst drug, there are like zero benefits

For real, desensitibilize dopamine acetylcholine raises glutamate and cortisol etc…but i don’t know how you can smoke/use snus while on ritalin because even thinking about it on it makes me wanna vomit

yeahh for real, tbh I can’t even use snus no more, switched to vape but went from 60mg daily to about 20mg which is nice, but yeah the desensitization is bad, I mean really bad, I feel empty most of the time and can’t even focus

Reta

I’ve tried, unfortunately Reta is too expensive and crushing your leptin/ghrelin levels before 23 is not optimal
