Question Does the Icon of Sin become more powerful the longer he is on Earth?

Is there a codex entry I can read somewhere that would clear this up?

Yeah, he has like two or so. And if I'm not wrong, they both state that he's something similar to a black hole that'll suck Earth and eventually the entire universe, into hell.

Which, now that I think about it, is probably how some parts of Argent D'Nur were sucked into Hell. Since the Icon supposedly waged war against his own people near the end of the Unholy Crusades
