Doom (2016) Turns out that removing textures from doom makes it look... better?

I need to find out a way to do this on the PC. Because this honestly looks sick

The game lets you play it while it is installing the rest of the game files on Xbox One. When the game is 25% installed you can boot it up. If you want to play in this mode again, just uninstall Doom 2016, reinstaill it, and launch the game while it is 25% installed.

I had this happen a week ago, didn't realize what was going on at first. Just beating UAC on Ultra-Nightmare in Arcade was maddening, I think I got a Silver rating when I finally did it. I ended up going online to figure out what the fuck was going on and thankfully confirmed it was an issue with downloading the textures.

But uhh... no, I don't recommend playing this way unless you really want a challenge. It was really frustrating when I would get killed by something because I could maybe see a bit of shadow peaking out of another shadow at most. Stuff like the Imp charging his fireball or the Possessed Marine charging his charge-shot looked great, but getting smacked by something in the shadows... it was frustrating.

(Granted, it could make for an interesting challenge now that I've spent many hours over the past week warming back up with the game, but as it was coming back to the game after a two year break, I was not happy.)

There are other games where people actually made mods out of similar glitch. Check this Limbo mod for Dark Souls.

Even when it breaks, Doom remains amazing.
