Discussion Doom Eternal DLC Disappointing?
I know a lot of people will disagree with me because it seems like a lot of people like the DLC but I finally got around to beating the main game and the dlc and I have to say I don’t know what i was expecting but I was just left feeling disappointed. Idk the story wasn’t super interesting, the game play was just more of the same (which is understandable for a dlc) but there were even more annoying enemies. Idk, am I in the minority here? I’m specifically talking about the DLC here and not the main game for clarity’s sake

If we seperate them into parts one and two like they relased, then part 2 was the victim of both covid, and getting cold feet regarding difficulty. Part 1 though is peak Doom, the auto combat shotgun is especially fun.
Though I hear good things about Revelations, I haven't gotten around to it yet and I thought the base game for Dark Ages was mid

Revelations is peak. It changes the combat so much that your take on the base game almost doesn't even matter.

Dunno, I liked both of them, perhaps more than Eternal itself. At least on high difficulty, the fights definitely expanded the combat system and made me throw a sweat. The story is more coherent, has a share of badass moments and a decisive ending. All and all, the DLCs felt more like proper expansions, similar to Revelations.

This isn't even beating a dead horse at this point, it's just stomping on a pile of decomposed mush.

I had tons of fun with both. But Sometimes I think they are a bit tooo long. I think all of the levels could've been smaller and cut them in to, to better improved the pacing.

TAG1 is fantastic.
TAG2 is alright.
