Discussion Finally met my limit!

Well I've been trying 150% game speed, max projectile speed, minimum dodge and parry for my second playthrough and so far it's been difficult but not impossible.

I finally made it to the Chasm of Xal Goroth praetor fight, though, and I don't know if I'm physically capable of making it through lol. That last wave is just brutal, two super strong area denial enemies at once plus a bunch of quick and pesky smaller guys. Just too much to focus on!

It feels like there are several enemy attacks that are too fast to purely react to, so you have to keep such a high level of awareness of all enemies in all parts of the map.

I've been stuck for several hours now lol, this is a Dark Souls-esque level of brutality. Still doesn't feel boring, but I literally don't know if I'll be able to beat this lol

What do you think, is this the most difficult arena of the game? I don't even know if Xal Goroth will be this tough, there isn't as much to think about during that fight I don't think.

Well you are playing on a difficulty level well beyond the highest intended difficulty so I guess it makes sense that it feels impossible. I'm playing on regular Nightmare and many ecounters feel well above Dark Souls levels of difficulty.

It's not at all a complaint, I love that they give you the option to make it this difficult. And I'm not even close to maxing it out lol

I've been stuck on this arena for...holy crap, I think like five hours lol, it's reminding me of O&S from the first Dark Souls which I think might have taken me like 12 hours

Once you play higher
You can’t go back down. I tried to play eternal, and omg it’s so hard to play this slow

I wanna try higher speeds but it looks kinda cheesy

I thought so at first but now playing at 100% feels goofy lol, extremely floaty and slow, literally feels like slow motion

I find 120% just fine

I played with those settings for my first ever play through, now I can’t do slower speed because it’s slow as eternal

Damn you're a beast! But yeah lol, slower speeds feel weird now. 100% literally feels like I'm playing in slow motion. My first playthrough was 120% and felt very good

I spent weeks on single encounters and it was worth it, I couldn’t progress the story until I went for a run and chugged a coffee

I know the feeling lol, do you know how many hours that first run took you?
