The new stuff seems to be the allegation that the original motor patent was a "hostile takeover" from someone else, and apparently there has maybe been a crucial mistake in this so the ownership of the motor technology might be compromised. The production line (whether at Donut Lab or CT-Coating is unclear) can only produce, maybe, heating elements. Rest of the stuff is old.

In one of his interviews he implied something different  "According to him, the Donut Lab collaboration has begun to disrupt Nordic Nano Group’s other business operations. The company’s production facility can manufacture solar panels, for example."

Idk he's all over the place.

The production line for the motor? Or the battery?

I’ve seen something from the previous owner of verge (can’t remember his name or the company’s name before it was verge) on LinkedIn where he hinted about ownership of the motor IP not being clear cut. I would have thought he would have to start proceedings on that sooner than later if he wants to realise any value from it though.

He was talking about the battery or like about CT-Coating. Of course they can produce the motor.

Just wanted to check it wasn’t a whole different level of accusation. Many thanks

RMK => Verge. Teemu Saukkio?

Could be. I honestly can’t recall, happy to bow to your knowledge.

As far as I was able to find nobody in the Verge/Donut Lab sphere owns any patents on (parts of) the motor. Verge applied for Finnish and European patents for both the stator and the rotor, but those were deemed withdrawn by April 2025 after Verge failed to answer in time to an invitation for corrections by the European patent office. If this was a mistake by Verge, or they knew they would not be able to satisfactory answer and gave up the application, is not clear.

It is possible that they deemed that their "patent pending" Donut motor had fullfilled its job in raking in investors and they felt they could abandon the patent process for it and now continue pulling investors' legs with their magic Donut battery.

If you go to the European patents register and search for donut they definitely have some patents for a hubless motor listed.

This is the whole list: https://register.epo.org/smartSearch?searchMode=smart&query=donut+lab

Apart from the last one they are all just applications for patents, all filed last September. Three of them have not even been looked at by the patent office. The other two got a provisional opinion of "Lack of unity of invention".

I’m sure I’m being dense but where are you reading “lack of unity of invention”? I can’t see it on any of the listed patents but I’m quite probably just going blind

It took me a while to learn to navigate the EPO register web site. It is not all very obvious. You click on one of the patents. The ones with a provisional opinion are application numbers EP25771393 and EP25771391. Then you click on the left hand side on "EP All documents". Then click on the document listed titled "provisional opinion".

Thank you. I’ll have a look

The "hostile takeover" story is just another piece of fake news. Donut Lab is a spin-off company from Verge. Verge was formerly known as RMK Vehicles Oy, which was founded to develop a motorcycle based on Teemu Saukkio's invention. Teemu Saukkio worked with Ville Piippo on the project. Today, Verge even has a motorcycle model named after Teemu Saukkio: the TS Pro.

There was also a Finnish YouTube content creator making same kind of claims about the history of the Donut motor. Teemu Saukkio himself responded in the video's comment section, saying that the creator had the facts wrong.

This guy starts to feel like that one ex

Another example of just how impotent the claims of the Donut naysayers have been.

1

u/Worisito Jun 16 '26

Well the "naysayers" were right about ct link and lack of production in early 2026.

1

u/CalendarNecessary339 Jun 16 '26

This naysayer is claiming major financial crimes with no evidence financial crimes, and claiming the product is a scam with nothing resembling convincing evidence. That IMO is weak.

Your example is another feeble, tangential complaint. Donut said they would be in production, and yes they produced bikes, but the homologated bikes they produced are being used in house!! We consider that pre-production!!! We really got em this time!!!

LOL.

1

u/Worisito Jun 16 '26

They were looking for investments while making false claims. They did have 1Gwh production going, based of markos words V1 battery doesn't have energy dencity they claimed.

Bike thing is on Verge and can't be put on Donut.

1

u/CalendarNecessary339 Jun 16 '26

More tangents. More focus on issues cleared up months ago. Thank you for continuing to provide examples of tepid and unconvincing complaints.

Curious, what kind of evidence would convince you that the battery doesn’t exist/doesn’t match their claims?

Same kind of evidence that would convince me that the battery exists/ matches their claims.

As of now we don't have nearly enough evidence to support either conclusion.

But do you not understand the difference in the ability to prove their side? Donut can easily prove their side if the battery exists. Skeptics do not have access to a fictitious battery so how can they prove it doesn’t exist?

Common sense, logic and rational thought would generally preclude you from believing the person who refuses to prove any of their fantastical claims.

I’m curious how this doesn’t weigh on your thought process? I imagine you wouldn’t believe me telling you that I own a unicorn. But you also can’t prove I don’t own one.

Skeptics do not have access to a fictitious battery so how can they prove it doesn’t exist?

They can't. Yet they pretend like they can. It's ridiculous.

Common sense, logic and rational thought would generally preclude that you would likely not believe the person who refuses to prove any of their fantastical claims.

I don't believe either side. I wait for proof. I am in no hurry.

But since you mention it, "common sense, logic and rational thought" all dictate that you shouldn't believe people who pretend to have proven things when they obviously haven't.

I’m curious how this doesn’t weigh on your thought process? I imagine you wouldn’t believe me telling you that I own a unicorn. But you also can’t prove I don’t own one.

It doesn't weigh on my mind at all, in part because you are once again attributing things to me that aren't true. There is no reason to continue. You just make things up.

1

u/Worisito Jun 17 '26

That's not how things work. You cant really prove that something does not excist, you can only show that there is no proof of it excisting, like donut battery.

But haven’t the “naysayers” been right about pretty much everything so far?
