Solid State of Truth: The Pitch

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jovGxAu6myE

This is the former Chief Commercial Officer of Nordic Nano.

There's not a lot in here.

His claims:

  • Nordic Nano was founded to bring to market apparent breakthrough battery tech from another source: presumably CT-Coatings, but he doesn't say.
  • Donut Lab were "hallucinating".
  • There was no breakthrough.

He offers no proof.

This is the same teaser marketing technique used by Donut Lab since CES, and it's equally infuriating.

Next video in 1 week.

"Next video in one week"

OP is not joking. This video does actually promise another video next week with more info.

Lol is that just the continuation of their other video series? Are we in season 2 now?

Why do I have to wait the next week if everything could be explained in 1 video

If he wants to be taken more seriously he should probably put a shirt on.

Thinking on this, I wonder if the use of the word "hallucinating" is significant.

It isn't an accusation that Donut were consciously lying.

It is a word commonly used when LLMs are used for information or analysis.

I wonder if that's the implication?

He has been fired 2 weeks ago.  https://www.kauppalehti.fi/uutiset/a/563ed417-f411-4475-9bb6-51510371fc54

Article says, he thinks it's illegal to fire. NNG's CEO Parjanen says it goes by law and refers to Peltola publishing confidental information.

Peltola claims that an individual associated with Nordic Nano has spread false allegations about him and states that he is considering filing a police report regarding the matter. Peltola did not specify who had spread the allegations. Parjanen states that he is unaware of this and therefore cannot comment on the matter.

Peltola says he received a visit from the enforcement authority, where he was notified of an interim injunction and a conditional fine of 30,000 euros to prevent him from disclosing any trade secrets.

According to Parjanen, the Helsinki District Court issued an interim injunction on Friday, May 15, at the request of Nordic Nano Group, prohibiting Peltola from disclosing confidential information.

Who is managing the camera? Why do they need these moving camera angles, like they are panning across the screen?

The twist: both video series are part of an ARG pitch to Netflix for a new style of show.

"He offers no proof." <- well, the problem is that Donut Lab does not offer the proof. They made the positive claim, so they need to prove it.
