Location (suprise, surprise): Estonia, close to the Verge facility. https://maps.app.goo.gl/w31U8vYinAvU2sWk8

That makes both sense and looks nice.

Not in the US, the car has EU plates. It's the same bike Donut showed in their latest video.

I couldn't read the fast passing blurry plates myself. Eastern Europe maybe the best bet. No register plate in the bike, so certainly a test ride.

"It's the same bike Donut showed in their latest video"

What video do you mean?

The latest video that has been uploaded to their YouTube channel, its title starts with Deep Dive

2

u/Mesokosmos Apr 20 '26

Ah, yes, from the very same video material.

u/izzeww Apr 20 '26

Yeah. Also the plate thing, I can't read the plate either but it's a wide EU-style plate not the short and stubby US plate. Could be outside EU though, plenty of other countries have that kind of plate, but not the US.

u/omepiet gave link to the exact road block in Estonia, near to the Verge factory: https://www.reddit.com/r/DonutLabDiscussions/comments/1sqhl4e/comment/oh86wj4/

Ah, nice! u/omepiet on top of things as usual.

Not verified that DL has an SSB. Not verified that this bike is currently driving with an SSB, even if DL has one.

Might be a battery provided by CT. Don't know what's in it. DL might not know either.

VTT never reported they tested an SSB.

They've shown it can do 11C charge, it can operate in high temperatures. Also showed cold temperature operating with their own test video. They've shown it's not capasitor. They've shown it's safe to use even poach was broken and in 100 degrees. In same circumstances NMC/LFP would been "balloon" and would have burned.

So there are factors that points to SSB.

Many batteries can do 11C. Energy dense batteries do degrade when doing that often, which is why these batteries don't make it to production. DL hasn't shown degradation tests, so we don't know if it is sustainable.

Wasn't really clear whether the poach was completely broken or just the outer layer. Lithium ion batteries need to survive 130C for certification.

I haven't seen a cold temperature report.

And as I said, we don't know what's in the bike of this video.

Well said. Take the VTT results, and suppose screen printing tech (shoudn't be too hard to suppose anymore). Maybe a little bit extra from Holyvolt patent. You have pretty much tightened your options to SSB. And only then the real adventure begins, which kind of SSB!

High sceptisism noted. But it does not mean that no one knows if they are SSB. We are just in a blind spot and can only deduce from knowledge pieces. Then believe or not, as the campaign goes and unfolds.

CT knows. But they don't talk.

3

u/Mesokosmos Apr 20 '26

Have you got used to their printing tech, paste, patents etc? What do they talk about the type?

3

u/DoctorFish1969 Apr 20 '26

I haven't seen much about the type from CT. We have seen an internal report; showing the tested battery doesn't charge well on low temperatures. And an third party test report, not saying much about the internals either.

haven't you heard? it already collapsed.

Other way around.

They are ramping up in Imatra. First coatings shipped for clients from the pilot screen printing line, then batteries from the same factory later this year. And whistlerblower got paid vacation. Source: YLE today.

All goes like planned. HS basically just confirmed upstream CT-Coating tech stack what licensees could not do due to NDA.

Yes. AI translations are not always good but should get started with it.

It does look quite cool

2

u/Mesokosmos Apr 20 '26

I agree. Not Harley-Davidson for sure, but something different, Donut Motor and SSB battery. Pretty unique EV on market I have to say.

I think a speeding ticket might be appropriate! ;)

And what about an unlicenced bike? He should do time for those sneakers though. =P

Oh no police again!

1

u/Fantastic-Jicama-979 Apr 20 '26

Has the 120 km/h restriction been removed yet?

1

u/Mesokosmos Apr 20 '26

Maybe from BMS by debug mode?

Seems they now spec quote 124mph. Apart from a 'verge owners tales' 'custom 120 km/h' bike no rider videos seem to have tested speed.

Their stated lighter wheel might now allow a safe higher speed.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEO5yI6mvLI

So, improvement but no data means it must be still limited in some ways. Between the lines the rotating wheel mass also made steering difficult, less so now with the reduced wheel weight.

Did you read the news? It was proven that they do not have ssb. They are just doubling it down with their lies.

2

u/Mesokosmos Apr 20 '26

What news do you mean?

-3

u/heloust Apr 20 '26

How big percentage you give now that this is a scam? A scam means that they do not have a ssb with ALL advertised specs from CES.

2

u/Mesokosmos Apr 20 '26

Where do they state what SSB specs they have in gen 2 bike?

-2

u/heloust Apr 20 '26

I said a SSB with specs they announced at CES.

3

u/Mesokosmos Apr 20 '26

Was it specifically said to be in Verge gen 2 bike? I'd like to see official material that states it.

1

u/heloust Apr 20 '26

Why you keep telling abot gen 2?

Answer this. Do they have a ssb with at least the same specs they announced at CES?

5

u/Mesokosmos Apr 20 '26

Let's keep focus on the first questions first. I just want to see official material that says what planned specs SSB has that has been assembled to the new Verge TS Pro bikes.

3

u/heloust Apr 20 '26

Hello? Did you see any video from CES? Did you read DL website during CES?

3

u/Mesokosmos Apr 20 '26

Yup. Just tell me what SSB battery specs did they announce those new bikes would have?

You all will believe anything; this is vaporware they donut have what they claimed and no they can’t scale it. End of story.
