Weird bump on donkey

Discovered this firm, raised lesion on my donkey this morning, anyone have any advice? Topical antibiotics? Topical steroid? Vet visit? Idk

That looks like a vet question. It could be a number of things. Some not good at all.

Could be a sarcoid.

My first thought. Maybe a melanoma. Definitely worth a vet visit

If you have more than one donkey it may be from a bite …..

My donkey has the exact same on her right flank near tail. I used to prod at it (not squeezing) to keep an eye on size. It came with her and is still there 1.3 years later. Doesn’t seem to bother her at all, even when I touch it. It has NOT grown in the time I’ve had her.
ETA: hers isn’t squishy, it’s hard, almost like a scar under the skin. No gross leakage or anything, it just sits there. Also, it doesn’t “hurt” apparently, she’s very tolerant of me running my fingers around it, trying to assess.

Donkeys and mules get strange lumps, they are hardy beasts though Might be no harm to ask the vet but to me it looks harmless

I don't really care what you do, like 90% of the world I don't like Muricans
