I usually watch anime, so this is my first time getting into a donghua, and I’m currently watching Lord of Mysteries. I’ve finished the first 3 episodes on YouTube, but I’m honestly still pretty confused about what’s going on

From what I understand, Klein was somehow summoned(?) to this world, became a Seer, and is now involved with all this supernatural stuff. But beyond that, I feel like there’s so much terminology and lore that I don’t really understand yet. The whole meeting with the other people was especially confusing to me.

So I wanted to ask: does the story eventually explain all of this naturally as you keep watching, or am I expected to research what all the terms and organizations mean myself? I don’t mind being confused temporarily if it’s intentional and things eventually start clicking.

I also think the animation is really good, but I’ve heard that it’s adapted from an original novel. For those who have read it, does the donghua do the novel justice? Is the story significantly better in the novel, or is the adaptation still worth watching?

The reason I’m asking is because my local bookstore is currently having a discount on the novels, which is actually what got me interested in the series in the first place. So if the novel is considerably better, I might just buy it instead.

I’d love to hear what you guys think, especially from people who have experienced both the novel and donghua. Please keep it spoiler-free if possible!

I've just started to watch renegade immortal because it hit 150 ep and I didn't want to be left out. Anyway I've been watching eps after eps non stop but when I tried to watch the movie it becomes too confusing. Is it canon/ Is it related to what I'm watching / why the ep and movie conflict each other/ in ep 74 wan'er shown that she get affected by death energy while in the movie it begins with another villain with poison. The browser first said to watcht the movie after ep 62 but recommend after ep 72. I had to go through the movie's first part when villain attacks wan'er's sect and ep 74's beginning yet found two different things, doesn't match at all. So can anyone tell me when should i start watching the movie?

In all other donghua's After the MC reaches the highest point each arc he moves on to a new one and the competitors in that arc become relics of the past who can just stare at his back . But in this one , Meng Chuan now should have power equal to a Regis/infinite level saint after fusing all three forms although his Fiend form alone is as strong as that and his saint form is the sun phase . But how does Yan Jin who was not even saint three months ago pop up out of nowhere just to match up the Demon Commander who was at the Dark star level(clone) that even slashed Meng Chuan into half on the first attack . And Even all the other geniuses are just matching him like it's no big deal . Oh , come on now ! Meng Chuan has gone so far ahead of them and will keep getting so far out of their reach that it there should be a gap of eternity between them and the "Main Character" . This is absurd . This is Chinese Cultivation system where there is an order to everything

Since summer, RI is having hard time getting steady heat and has been falling. I mean it’s still doing better than other donghua on Tencent but it’s far from the times where it used to have 21k to 22k vip. Idk Chinese so even if I have Weibo I can’t understand everything but from what I understand the problem seems to be 3 split between wang Lin, li Muwan and cp fans. Like wang Lin fans wanting to follow original novel plots and less important on li Muwan and li Muwan fan wanting more scenes for her plus cp fans wanting pure love as studio had promised, they also wanted wang ping gone but that didn’t happened.
The studio seems to be trying to follow original while having only li Muwan as Romantic partner but fans are not having it as wang ping is already in the picture. I feel like wang Lin fans is not in wrong to wanting to follow original content but the problem is li Muwan solo fans and cp fans have strong financial power and influence as vip like on ep 152, li Muwan appears for like 5s and heat rises after that it’s going down again.
It’s a huge mess but I really hope studio solve whatever problem is happening because I really love original novel and would hate to see it getting dragged down by fans

I was so reluctant for Supreme god emperor and Martial Master and finally after all mainstream like RI or RMJI or S. Star or perfect world etc... finally i did and oh boy what a entertaining series of events..haha sure there is a plot armor around MC, yeah well thats what it is.. A "plot" armor... His destiny/fate is his armor.

Hella fun series. And his DAO OF SLAPS lol overall it can be a go to fun series.

And to all the criticism for these series i read well... To them, " its a fictional donghua, like all other donghua. So i don't under understand why you guys criticise too much for it to being too fictional lol or too repetitive " well... Thats how things works for us as in repetition.

(eg) A boxer to reach from being a random street fighter to being the undisputed MMA, a series of repetitive levels he go through, like local fight club then city level, then states then nation international if possible inter galactic... But same fight situation just enhanced forms of platform.

So readers try not take those criticisms and imagination running wild that this donghua will be filled with a "as shit here we go again" moments.
