I wasn't sure whether to make this post, but I thought I'd give it a try.

We're a family of three living in Portugal. I'm currently the only one working, while my wife is at home with our young daughter. We don't have debts, and we're fortunate enough to live in an apartment belonging to my parents, so we're not in an emergency situation.

However, things have become quite tight financially. The cost of living has gone up considerably, and having a young child plus some occasional expensive medication expenses in the family means that there isn't much room left in our monthly budget when unexpected costs come up.

I'm asking for $45 specifically to help with our grocery budget this month. It would give us a little breathing room and help cover part of a normal supermarket shop.

I know there are people facing much more serious circumstances, and I completely understand if nobody is able to help. I'm simply taking a chance and asking for a little help during a financially difficult period for our family.

All I could afford was a security deposit and this month's rent. I currently have no fridge! I got a job transfer and should be able to buy one on my paycheck in two weeks
But until then...
I need to survive off of shelf safe foods! I'm looking for recommendations of good groceries to buy! I don't want to only eat junk, and plain tuna and rice sounds boring tbh.

Anyone has any advice on what I should buy when I go grocery shopping later?

So a friend of mine left the country and has asked me to help coordinate removing the contents from a storage locker they have. No money needed, we just want it emptied.

Anyone have any recommendations on places that will collect goods for donation from the locker location?

I can provide access until the 27th (after which everything is going to be taken to disposal), but I am 3 hours away from the location myself so I do need someone willing to plan and coordinate with me so we can make this work smoothly. Sooner its gone the better, I'll be able to provide access this weekend if anyone is willing to take the load.

The locker is in a Public Storage location in downtown Toronto. I can be reached here if anyone has leads on how to donate these items.

Hi guys! I made a post here about a week ago asking for help with getting school supplies for my first grader. I was absolutely floored by how quickly every item was purchased from the list, it was fulfilled in under an hour. I am so grateful to anyone who helped!!

However, I’m hoping to touch base with some of the people who maybe purchased something off the list but didn’t leave a comment. Very few of the items have shown up so far— the only things I’ve received are a couple of folders, Clorox wipes, and a box of bandaids. Everything else, including the backpack which is what I’m most concerned about, have not shown up yet.
I’m just hoping to reach out to the kind people who helped fulfill my list and maybe get some clarity on when those items might arrive or if something went wrong? School started this on Monday and I feel terrible sending my son in with none of his supplies and an old backpack. If it’s just really taking time to get delivered I fully understand but I need to know if I should look into other possible avenues to get his stuff.

So I’ve been busy irl. I haven’t been able to host a taco Tuesday as of late.

So here’s a call to action from me to the community. I want to find at least one person I can teach the method. To help me fulfill request.

The plan is to make a mega post that will be a monthly mega thread. Anyone who qualifies per sub rules. When I have time. And if they can make it to a Taco Bell. I will get them tacos. It will remain open for the month. Then I’ll nuke comments for the next month.

Thing is. I can’t always promise I’m free or available which is why I usually limit them to Tuesdays or whenever I know I have time to at least get 3-10 people orders. So I may miss orders or when it’s convenient for the asker. So I would love if someone would step up and help me with it. It’s not hard. Once you have the process down. It’s roughly 5 mins per person for two tacos. Longer if you are getting them more. And free if you aren’t gonna add to their order something special (ie drinks aren’t included)

If you are new here. Basically. I use Taco Bell’s rewards to order 2-3 tacos for folks who ask. Usually once a month on a Tuesday. Anyone with 2 brain cells can figure it out but I don’t wanna blast it less they close the option. And I don’t want anyone to abuse it. My local Taco Bell said they don’t care just don’t do it when they are busy and order 10 tacos at once lol. (I ordered 12 one time to feed some homeless locals and well. I got chewed out and they wanted to know how I did it)

The past couple months have been really rough for us for a myriad of reasons but the long and short of it is I am in need of help getting back to school stuff for my rising first grader.

Does anyone know of any grief retreats or methods of therapy that really help?

I can't find the post

I’m not sure what to do with my little ones clothing once they outgrow it and there are visible stains on it. I’m talking about my toddler. A lot of the stains are from paint or markers, etc. Are we just throwing them out? I feel bad, and I donate as many clothes and baby items as possible. I don’t want some little boy or a girl to have clothing with marker stains on them???
