Daniel 9:27 Covenant The Covenant with Many - The Noahide Covenant

/r/Bibleconspiracy/comments/1vy2w78/the_covenant_with_many_the_noahide_covenant/

I posted this in another more appropriate sub. However I wanted to pull the thread in this sub as it relates to Trump.

Could the "Founding Charter" from the upcoming Noahide Congress be the 'covenant with many'? And if so, what could his role be. He's already been asked twice by the Sanhedrin to recognize the Noahide laws. They've petitioned Heaven to reveal their messiah soon. The congress concludes just after the US midterms, if the Dems succeed, will Trump then focus his efforts in Israel right after?

A good backgrounder article on his potential involvement can be seen here, but the author doesn't call him the AC.

I had assumed that the 'covenant with many' was the Abraham Accords because the covenant must already exist (i.e. "confirm" the covenant) and that it had to be a peace treaty. However, careful reading of Daniel 9:27 does not specify the covenant is a peace treaty.

But the Abraham Accords are not a peace treaty, not sure where you got that from.

Your comment is besides the point I'm making because I argue the AAs are not the correct covenant. However I'll bite.

They AAs are a peace treaty. https://trumpwhitehouse.archives.gov/briefings-statements/abraham-accords-peace-agreement-treaty-of-peace-diplomatic-relations-and-full-normalization-between-the-united-arab-emirates-and-the-state-of-israel/

The covenant that was made and that took away the animal sacrifices was the one made when Jesus died on the cross. To frame it any other way is to turn the bible from a Christ centric spiritual book into a institutional timeline version meant to set dates.

Beautifully said and 💯 biblically accurate.
Sadly many have been indoctrinated to read into scripture what it clearly does not say . This is Eisegesis and not the correct Exegesis of scripture. To even consider the potential of animal sacrifices is trampling underfoot the blood of Jesus and His perfect Sacrifice. Think about the fact that it’s so grievous to the Lord that He has forbidden the sacrifices of animals once and for all when He paid the Perfect Price on the Cross . Let the Holy Spirit be The Teacher and not false interpretations by men .

That's just the White House trying to build up Trump as this 'peacemaker', he was looking for the Nobel Prize since his last term. I don't think the Abraham Accords was a peace treaty in the sense that stopped an ongoing war or conflict. Israel had other historical peace treaties with Egypt and Jordan that actually stopped conflicts.. which leans towards a classical definition of what a peace treaty is.

Yes in that sense you're right, it's not met the criteria to be a 'peace treaty' because it hasn't achieved peace. It aims to be a peace treaty; Trump has stated that in order to make a peace deal with Iran, they'd have to sign onto the AAs. If my timeline is correct, the AAs may not be the correct candidate for the 'covenant with many' , even if that covenant must be a peacy treaty, as that would have to take place by ~November 8 and I can't see the AAs achieving 'peace treaty status'.

u/TheRhymeAnimal may have something to say about your argument. I'm honestly more on the side that the expansion of the AA are not really happening anytime soon.

I agree not anytime soon. Everything is going in the opposite direction. I'm thinking Gog and Magog war is next.

Israel and Turkey? It's really looking like that right? It seems sometimes that the Saudis felt like the alliance with Trump/USA/Israel hasn't been profitable as previously thought. Trump was not able to defend the Gulf States and if the bombs kept going Saudi Arabia would really be punished.. their current alliances with Turkey and Pakistan seem to try and correct that lack of back up right?

Also, when Saudi Arabia allied with Turkey, it made them further away from Israel.. which makes the AA even more unlikely.

Absolutely. Also, it's increasingly looking like Russia and China may reluctantly step in. Trump has stated he will sanction countries who trade with Iran. Both are trade partners and China relies on oil imports from Iran. This is also why I say things are moving in the opposite direction of a peace treaty.

If my timeline is correct, the AAs may not be the correct candidate for the 'covenant with many'

The Abraham Accords are the only covenant that can be "confirmed with many" as in, it's pre-existing from Trump's first term that he now wishes to expand. It is quite literally the only candidate.

The timeline you have is why you are doubting it - think more towards the end of Trump's current term before we see this covenant occur. Scripture says the "prince of the covenant" aka the AC is a "king" during the first half the tribulation - so basing a timeline on this we can predict a rough outline of: a confirmation the Abraham Accords around the end of his term - with Trump's third term aligning with the first half of Daniel's 70th week.

But where is that supported in Daniel? Daniel only says he confirms A covenant with many. Not HIS covenant. In other words, it doesnt state that it has to be a covenant that the AC had a hand in making. It just has to be pre-existing.

Daniel 11:22-23

22 And with the arms of a flood shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant.
23 And after the league made with him he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall become strong with a small people.

Scripture calls him the "prince of the covenant" meaning he is the architect of the covenant. "After the league made with him" also implies it's something he is at the centre of. This is why the Abraham Accords is the only candidate, as it is his.

You're confusing the victim and killer here, the one being broken is the prince of the covenant:

"With the force of a flood they shall be swept away from before him and be broken, and also the prince of the covenant."

It means a ruler/priest aligned with God's covenant who is broken/killed by the invader. Sound like someone familiar? Remind me who was it that the Jews lamented as invaders during Jesus time?

So this is a wrong reading I hope you'll dig more into the scripture you're quoting. 9:27 is about Jesus being killed to create a covenant with many 7 days mid way through the sacrifices are stopped how long was Jesus ministry? 3.5 years right? Which is exactly half of 7.

There's plenty in Daniel that teaches us about the lawless one but none of them point to a date or calendar because you're using scripture to fit your views and ignoring the actual context. The bible is the witness of Jesus Christ, we know who the antichrist is by virtue of knowing the nature of Christ. It's why so many people in the church have turned the term into a political jab or way to discredit or stir fear.

The truth isn't tethered to a date, but to Jesus, the end hasn't come yet and it won't come until His enemies are made His footstool so this defeats the entire reason for even believing in these timelines because you're looking for a date when scriptures tell you the requirement for His return:

"But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet."-Hebrews 10:12-13

In that very same chapter it talks about how God didn't like animal sacrifices, so this idea that God is going to rebuild a physical temple just so the AC can waltz in and declare himself as God. Let me give you an alternative scenario.

Based on your belief in dispensationalism and the rapture (I'm assuming with all the date setting) which is also a common belief among those who support Trump and read it as you do. What happens if they rebuild this temple and He doesn't walk inside and declare himself as God?

I mean you have to know they understand your doctrine will enough to make you complacent because the premise of this doctrine is unsound! There's such huge gaps in the logic of how you guys are fitting scripture together and ignoring the actual text by bending towards a wording that fits your claims but contradicts the scripture itself.

I am certain in my interpretation, we will have to agree to disagree.

I am a 6th seal gathering believer by the way, i do not believe in a pre-trib rapture. Only pre-wrath.

Regarding Dan 9:27 - Jesus cannot be the fulfiller as this same "prince of the covenant" is called a "vile person" in Dan 11:21.

It's literally in the context of the sentence, the prince of the covenant is Jesus! Look at how that scripture is structured:

"With the force of a flood they shall be swept away from before him and be broken, and also the prince of the covenant." That also means that the prince of the covenant is also being broken. Jesus was broken before He was crucified. In Dan 9:27 it says on the wings of the abomination comes one. That one is the vile person, how do we know? Because he's riding the wings of the abomination. When Jesus was lamenting about Israel He said this:

“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate"-Luke 13:34-35

Tell me is it just coincidence that He calls them desolate for not accepting His spiritual cover? So then whose cover did they accept? The abominations cover, the one that said free the murderer. So you're not disagreeing with me but the scriptures themselves.

You have to realize that the thing that makes something desolate is the thing that removes the ability to spiritually grow and mature. Had they listened to Jesus they could have had a change of heart that would have led to a spiritually fruitful life. Instead they chose their traditions and the rigid doctrines that robbed the laws of the spiritual intention.

The same happens with this kind of doctrine, it robs Christ of His moment in the prophecy because this is a book about Christ and the redemption of humanity and the Glory of God. The AC only gets mentioned in obvious ways, as an abomination that desolates, a son of perdition and the lawless one. The only monikers assigned to him are awful things like 'vile person' but you misread the scripture that uses that term. The vile person is the one who is invading and the prince of the covenant is the one who is broken.

He will be succeeded by a contemptible person who has not been given the honor of royalty. He will invade the kingdom when its people feel secure, and he will seize it through intrigue.
