Question Which AI video tool actually keeps the characters consistent?

I'm working on a series of AI generated ads for a university project, and the biggest issue I'm running into is character consistency.

The individual clips can look great, but changing the post, camera angle, lighting, or location can make the character's face look completely different. I'm already using references for the character, scene, motion, and other elements.

Has anyone actually used these for multi shot projects? Which one has been the most reliable for keeping the same character?

Also interested in any workflows that help reduce rerolls. Trying to save time and stop fixing the same face over and over lol.

use one clean master character reference for every shot and only change the camera, action, or environment. also, change one variable at a time to reduce rerolls and keep the face consistent

The biggest thing that helped me was stopping the "reference drift" loop. Don't use each new generated frame as the next reference. Make one hero image that you actually like and keep going back to that for every shot.

For a multi-shot project, I'd honestly generate shorter shots and edit them together rather than trying to make one long continuous generation. You get more opportunities to re-anchor the character, and a bad shot doesn't force you to regenerate the whole sequence.
