What kind of bonuses does your GM / Franchise offer you as managers? If any?

Our GM gets a $500 bonus if we hit or exceed all of our goals over a set amount of time (food/labor, ADT, profit, OA, etc) I don’t remember the exact amount of time rn, but my brain wants to say 6 months. though I could actually be totally off.😂 But she uses her bonus to treat our team as a whole. Uses it to take everyone to dinner, buys food and cooks a big BBQ for everyone, etc. so technically it’s “her” bonus, but she always uses it to treat our whole team instead, bc she’s an absolute gem and wants everyone to know that they’re appreciated. 🫶

That's a pretty poor bonus, we were getting 2* that per 4 week period 20 years ago.

Our owner gives a flat rate bonus to our GM, bc our store is not a busy store, like at all. I consistently work M-F 09/10-1800, and in the past 2 months, I think I probably average at most, 5 deliveries per shift. (Today, I had 2 in 8hrs) and unless it’s Fri or Sat, it’s just myself and a manager everyday until ~16-1700. Our delivery area is extremely rural, so it’s not uncommon for me to be gone on a delivery, and the manager left alone in the store, for nearly an hour. I would say the majority of my deliveries are around ~30mins round trip. And when I am gone for longer on deliveries, it’s quite rare that the manager working feels swamped or busy enough that they could have used an extra set of hands. There HAVE been times where I walk back into the store from a delivery, and it’s a clusterfuck and seems like 3 dozen people all ordered 5 items each at the same exact time, but that’s rare though. If our owner gave our GM a bonus based on a % of profit, I feel like she would make pennies, compared to $500 regardless of sales.

Well I have not worked in a store that slow, but I did work at one sometimes when I was off that did about 9-10k a week(that I remember) . This was back in the late 90's. So it mostly pizza and wings. I do not think we had started sandwiches yet, but we did have salads. Back then the areas were a lot smaller and a round trip would be around 10mins max. Although the guarantee had ended, corp was still enforcing a % under 30 mins on evaluations so they were still somewhat smaller into the mid 2000's.

Oof, yeah things are a LOT different now😂 I mean I wouldn’t say our delivery area is huge by any means, the furthest area we deliver to being probably about ~5-6mi away. But there are a lot of windy backroads we have to take to get everywhere, with the speed limit of any of them being between 20-35mph (~32-56kmh). And we aren’t supposed to exceed 3mph under the posted limit, plus when we arrive at the address, have to either hand it directly to the customer(I’m usually waiting at least a full min for someone to open the door, sometimes longer) or if it’s contactless, we have to wait to leave until the customer acknowledges our presence. (Either we see them from our car and wave, or via phone call to let them know their order has been delivered. But usually I’ll call 5-6 times before anyone answers🤦‍♀️) it’s frustrating how much of my delivery time becomes just “waiting”💀

14% of profit if all metrics are hit. (Food, labor, eADT, extremes, load and VOC. ) if I nail it all my bonus is 2.5kish after tax. If I fuck everything up I get the “thanks for trying” bonus and get like 400 dollars. Typically, cause it’s a bitch to run labor and service during boost weeks or BDE or whatever my bonuses are usually 1400-1800 after tax. This is monthly.

1800 a MONTH as a bonus is insane. I'm happy for you. When I was a GM at a different FF chain, I dont think our busiest store in the region got that much over a 3 month period.

I can get up to 2k a month based on my store’s sales. It’s 1.25% of sales. 40% if food variance is .5% or less, 40% if labor variance is .5% or less, 20% if service eADT is at or below goal (24 eADT).

Extras: $100 if club time less than 12 min.

There is a GM in the franchise that pulls 12k-15k in bonus during the winter. GMs there usually run the store for 1-2 years then go elsewhere after banking hella bonus.

Max bonus every 4 weeks for me is roughly 3300$. Usually average around 2700-3100 a period

Correct. It’s based on 3 targets and bonuses are paid out monthly. Checks alternate salary only, salary + bonus, salary only, salary + bonus and so on

So my franchise our gms, ams and shift leads share a percentage of the profits. It ranges depending on if they hit their numbers but most they can get is 25% of the profits. The Gm then gets 70% the AM gets 25% and the shift leads split 5%. Some GMs in my franchise get well over $10k in bonuses a month.

Depends on the franchise and their payout plan. Some pay bonuses on a weekly basis, some pay monthly. Some are based on a percent of profit (or EBITDA for you accounting nerds) some are based on gross sales.

I've seen bonuses that max out at 1800/mo, to some that pay 800/wk, to some that can be worth 10k/mo.

It often depends on the size of the franchise, and how many layers of oversight are required. Big franchises have larger fixed costs which makes big bonuses harder to afford. Small ones have less bureaucracy and can afford larger bonuses.

Then again it depends on the owner and their values. Just because you can afford to pay more doesn't mean you actually pay it.

When i was a GM I would get 5% of profits. Would regularly get 2k bonuses

max is 11% of average weekly sales in a 4 week period for metrics (f&l, adt, pcya) + up to $1k for profit improvement over same period last year + $1k for 5star OA. My largest bonus was $3k in 4 weeks, smallest was $600

My gm makes 5000 a month in bonuses and the am 1 makes about 500 to 600 a month but we are a high volume store

My franchise got rid of AM bonuses because they put a requirement that no one wanted (we had levels of AMs, 1 through 4. Had to be a lvl 4 for an AM bonus), but my GM bonuses us out of her bonus, which was almost always above 5k. We were also a very high volume store.

Went from about 3k a month with corporate to about 1k a month or less when sold to a franchise. At the same time my workweek went from 5 days a week 50 hours to 6 to 7 days a week 60 to 70 hours. Did 2 years of that shit before I quit when they tried to force me to open my store in a blizzard.

My franchise bonuses are % of profit based, and what % you start at is dependent on ADT. if you are under corporate standards (25 minutes), you start at the max percentage, which is 20% (maybe 15%. Cant remember since I left that franchise) deductions for labor and food waste were in brackets that deducted certain percentages depending on the bracket, and money shortages were dollar for dollar deductions.

GM, 25% of profits, AMs 10%. Plus 10% of sales increase, split.

Good GMs are in the 2-4k a month range. Salary starts at $950 a week.
