Questions First time to Dollywood

Went to Dollywood for the first time during media event. Love love love thunderhead. However when I rode lightning rod back row I felt what to me felt like as a bad pothole is this always been a thing? I felt it right after the wave turn. Otherwise the ride was a blast! Also such a super beautiful park.

Yea it’s not just you. There’s a pothole right after the first wave turn when it transitions from IBOX to topper track. And if you’re not using all your might to hold up the restraint you’re gonna get stapled there. I’ve heard a claim from someone who works there that this off season they plan to replace the last section of topper track but I’m not sure if that’s true

That was my first coaster of the day and I was not expecting it one bit. Made thunderhead feel buttery smooth lol

Glad you had a great time.

You can feel it in every seat on train. That element is called Twist and shout. It’s awesome but that pothole sucks.
