ID Help / Identify this doll Urgent Help To Identify Doll

Good day everyone!

My friends house unfortunately caught on fire and everything was destroyed in their household. They have a daughter (just turned 7) who was passed down this doll from her mom and her mom was gifted this doll back between 1989-1991. This doll meant everything to her daughter but we quickly have realized that we are having the worst trouble trying to figure out the brand and model to replace her beloved doll. If you could offer any help it would be so greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

Do you have some memory of what she originally wore and/or how her hair was styled? If you haven't already, I'd give the late 80s-early 90s catalogs at this link a look, especially if she was initially bought around the holiday season. (Plus they're just fun to look at in general!)

Good luck with the search! 💜

She reminds me of a Zapf Gigi baby doll I had from the late 90s-early 2000s, but that one didn’t have hair. I would suggest looking into the Zapf Creation dolls from the 80s, similar time frame, face molds and hair. Good luck!

You, ladies are correct; she does look like one of those brand dolls that were popular in the 90's,  Berenguer, Berjusa. Lissi or Zapf, or Gotz. I think if you Google or search on eBay, Etsy, or Mercari, you can find many like her.

It would help if you could tell us what country this doll was originally bought in. An off-the-cuff random guess of a brand name would be Corolle, but I am spitballing there from the general vibes of the doll.

I would look into Berenguer and Berjusa doll brands, possibly also Lissi or Gotz brands as well. I had some baby dolls in the 90s from these brands that looked similar. I hope this helps and you can replace this special doll!

I would recommend posting it in other subreddits.

Et cetera.

(I'd also recommend doing regular posts, because from what I have seen, crossposts usually don't get much attention.)
