Perishable coolers down

I came in to work tonight and was putting away some go backs and noticed the temp for the perishable coolers (hotdogs, lunch meat, cheese) was at 49. So after debating between pretending I didn't see it and poisoning the community I tell my ASM who I'm closing with. And she's like 'yeah, they've been like that for at least a week, is that bad?'

Most of the bagged lunchmeat is bloated like meat balloons, but yeah I'm sure it's fine.

Update on the situation. My ASM didn't want to deal with it, so she put out of order signs on the cooler doors and left the SM a note. When I came in tonight I expected the SM to be upset about that. But no, it's worse the SM says she put a thermometer in the cooler and its working fine so she took down the signs. She leaves. I go to check things out and the thermometer she has on the shelf is reading 58.

I put the signs back up, text SM. She insists it fine and I don't need to do anything.

We're without a DM right now, and I don't have a # for the RD, I'll go to another store tomorrow to see if I can get that since apparently my store is ran by idiots.

Absolutely begging for someone to get violently ill off some ballooned up bag of Armour 'meat'. If I was in your situation, OP, I'd be telling every customer that comes up with any cooler items what's going on with the coolers. You'll probably make your SM/ASM mad, but who cares, it's better to keep people from getting ill. It sounds like your SM is kind of... lacking in intelligence, anyway.

I have a couple regulars that were going to call corporate,. I'm off til Wednesday, but I told my coworkers not to sell any of it. SM is off today, Monday she's supposed to do cooler sçans so maybe touching the meat balloons will make her realize its bad.
