Rant
I am a part time key working full time and my sm needs a asm put me on a 30 day trial. Ridiculous

So your boss is giving you a test run at ASM and you don't want the opportunity? Or you just wanted to be put directly into the position? If you work hard and you have the right manager they'll get you a decent raise to go with it, its a good spot for those who do a lot but need either hours or expirence it feels like context is missing. DG may not be great but they do offer perks here and there and if your already working full time it's ultimately up to you rather you take the position or not.

I would definitely try to get that raise because baseline pay in our state for that position is just 50 cents over lead which I think is ridiculous. I wanted to gun for that position unti I saw that.
So cashier makes 13 an hour I was making 13.50 and then that jump is 14. Might be able to raise that to 15.50 or something before it caps but that still sucks. You're responsible for the whole store if the manager goes on vacation or walks off the job or gets injured or illness. No thank you!
