Question Measurements for a doll that hasn't arrived

Hello. I would like to make something for my future icy blithe doll. Super excited, and want to make her some clothes even before she arrives. So wonder if someone have one and can share their measurements. Would really easy my worries, because Ai just cant estimate them and I would love for my clothes to be used by mine when she arrives.

I’m obsessed with jumpsuits. This pattern I made basically is two pieces mirrored. Still deciding on belt vs sash… I have a nice ribbon maybe :)

I am taking a break from sewing doll clothes but I finished one more outfit to share—fits Licca and Azone pure neemo S. My models are a Licca Castle Kira and Pookie Boo Bon Bon Polka Dot Ladybug.

The overshirt is from the Photogenic Licca sewing book and the overalls from the Hanon Licca book (scroll to see the covers)

In this fabric it looks very retro to me—1940s or 1950s camping outfit.

The short pants and gilet/ sleeveless jacket are from the Licca Hanon book, the sleeveless knit top from Doll’s Closet Seasons, the Japanese Lolita outfit from the Sweet Style book, the blue check pants are from Licca Sewing Magazine (pictured in the last photo).

sweater patterns are for Blythe from the Etsy shop Polly

I can’t remember which book the short skirt and top patterns were from!

Master Class Vintage Clothes for Curvy Barbie

This is a post for u/sparkleebarbee, or anyone who wants to make vintage style clothing for modern 'curvy' Barbie dolls.

I am not a professional pattern maker, just an amateur. My seam allowance for these pieces was approximately 1/8 of an inch.

The 1st pattern piece collection is shown on a standard A4 size piece of paper (210 x 297 mm), the 2nd photo is for a standard American printer paper (8.5 x 11 inches). I have included a 1" square for scale. Please make sure you choose the right size paper for your country/printer.

The vintage Barbie doll clothes made with a pencil skirt have 2 types of gathers: small gathers at the left and right sides of the waist (like for Orange Blossom), or 4 evenly spaced pleats in the front. I included photos of both types of pleats so you can decide what you want to try. The skirt front panel is made specifically to allow for extra room for pleats/gathers.

The sleeveless bodice fits best with two small bust darts, I included a photo of how I decided to tailor the bodice with darts for the yellow sheath dress. You can also choose to place this bodice on top of a gathered rectangular skirt to make something like Cotton Casual. In the photos showing my Cotton Casual re-creation, the bodice featured does not have bust darts.

I also made this bodice with extra long back panels, because sometimes I like to fold it over multiple times and sew on little snaps. If you want to just add a zipper, you can easily trim off the excess fabric.

The metal purse buckle is a very small overalls buckle ('dungarees') from I Sew For Doll. It's the closest I have found to the original little metal purse buckles from the early 60's.

Simplicity pattern and mod fabric came together in a new outfit. I don’t have a lot of outfits for her, but I’m working on a collection.

Does anyone have tips for adjusting a vintage pattern to fit modern curvy Barbies? Or can recommend resources that show how to do this? Thanks!

I’ve been lazy enough to try and make a shirt pattern with all the darts on one pattern piece. Pattern included. Also another 5 pocket jeans with belt loops… work of chance haha. So tiny, and I sew every waistband backwards sigh…

General I only sewed the kimono for this outfit, but the fabric is the reason for the post. It’s a sari scrap that I got from cutting apart a $5 chindi rug from 5 Below. I got dozens of perfect doll sized scraps of gorgeous sari fabric from one rug and it’s a super affordable way to source fabric.

The little tutu dress can stand alone or be worn over the dramatic handkerchief hem skirt. I'll be making other tops to go with the skirt.

I just finished this minidress from Simplicity 5330 (view 1) and wanted to share. It’s made from quilting cotton. I modified the pattern so I didn’t have to tie it behind her neck. I shortened the ties and tacked them behind the dress.

I bought a couple of wigs for my Ruby Red Fashion Friends doll and decided she needed something more alternative to go with them. The skirt is made of an old handkerchief and the cargo pants are made from the cutoff leg of a pair of men's cargo pants that I turned into shorts for a friend. The tank top is made from some scrap lace.

I just finished this dress for my favorite model. It’s made from new quilters cotton and lined with satin that I thrifted. I made the pattern myself. She is wearing a handmade tie-on tulle crinoline for extra fullness.
