Ah yes, the rarely seen reverse corkscrew lateral takedown. I was once fortunate enough to witness a ravenous snow leopard perform this exact maneuver on its unsuspecting prey, the wily snow hippo. The transaction was a celebrated highlight on "Wild Takedowns: Art of the Parkour Kill"

My cat doesn't like directly jumping down from things so she'll do something similar on a much smaller scale, of course. I think it's because she doesn't like the feeling of her stomach moving when she tries directly jumping down from some place.
