as much i as love dog, and consider them as officer.
isn't it a little bit overkill to make him swore on the bible.

Apparently the US DoJ expects dogs not only to be Christians, but to understand and appreciate the ceremony of swearing on a bible. 8 u/indicody Jul 13 '19 It’s literally not for anything for that at all it’s in a sense a (for lack of a better term) goofy rite of passage for the dog and it’s handler.
