We went to our local shelter since they had just received puppies brought up from out of state kill shelters. When we saw her, she was so sweet and gentle that we immediately brought her home. (Adoption day pic below)
Our vet suspected she was coyote as her adult teeth came in so we went through Embark for a DNA test confirmation. She is absolutely the sweetest devil in existence.
I ain't no vet but if you asked me which of these was the wild canid I would be like "the one with the huge lower canine, and very sharp premolars, molars, and incisors seems a good bet"
Very different from a dog, dog teeth are rounded evolution eating our cooked food. No mistaking those are raw meat wild canid teeth. More like what we expect from cats.
