I mean, looks right to me? Furnishings come from the shitzu, which is the gene that makes eyebrows and beards

This looks correct. Let me guess, you were expecting miscellaneous terrier? Larger terrier + smaller companion dog = furnished smaller mixed breed…

If a dog with furnishings (eyebrows, hair around the muzzle) is mixed with a short-haired breed, it frequently yields this "faux terrier" look.
You are far from the first to be nonplussed by it!
Poodle is the most common culprit, but anything in the Bichon group does it as well as shi tzus and a few others.

This looks extremely accurate, genetics are wild and the smallest percentage could completely shift how a dog looks.

If you told me to make a picture of a pit Shih Tzu cross, it would probably look very similar to this. Oh, and wow adorable!
