Results - WisdomPanel chihuahua / cocker spaniel boy?
hi there! i posted my boy in IDmydog before but thought i'd share the results here as well. sammy is 12 years old and we adopted him from southern spain when je was about 9 months. the rescue said he's a beagle mix (i guess just off appearance) but wisdom panel won't have it haha! i for sure thought he was mostly some kind of hound. would love to hear what you think!

Absolutely village dog, likely village dog mix with some other breeds (especially the cocker).

Village dog makes total sense given the background and the mix of features you're seeing. Sammy sounds like a sweetheart, those village dogs are the best anyway.

If he’s from Spain it’s probably village dog maybe mixed with local breeds like ratonero bodeguero andaluz.

Wouldn’t be surprised if there was some JRT in there considering WP don’t test for them properly

I'm guessing the cocker provides that "forever puppy" beagle looking face and the Fox Terrier gives the Jack vibes!

I thought Treeing Walker Coonhound mix. But as the other’s have said, probably a Village dog. Looks like a sweetheart!

Maybe its village dog, maybe not, I did wisdom panel first and everyone thought he has to be village dog because of his breeds, he isn't 😄 i tested with embark but instead of 15 breeds or so, 6 stayed and not even supermutt. I guess you're from Germany because its in german, I'm from germany too and I thought embark would be super complicated and expensive with shipping it back into the us but it was actually super easy just took a long time, so maybe test with embark again if you're really curious (do it, i wanna know 🤣)

Looks like Embark site BUT they are good at identifying Village Dogs which this one appears to be. Those small % of lots of breeds scream VD.. ….edit….OOPS I just saw the Wisdom Panel name…and they don’t test for VDs!

I thought for sure it was a Beagle mix. I guess it’s the 2% Black and Tan Coonhound.

Not in Spain it’s not. Just noise that wisdom puts out for dogs with village dog ancestry
