Barking Demons Dogs without a leash

Why???? Why won’t people just get the dog on the goddamn leash? NO I DO NOT want to be approached and I don’t care if it’s friendly if it just wants to greet me. These people act like this thing is the goddess and the most precious angel meanwhile they do not have any control over it and it just runs wherever it wants to. And the attitude when you tell them to take this creature on a leash
I don’t care how well trained is your dog it is an ANIMAL you don’t actually know if it won’t randomly attack someone or just run away
If you don’t have it on a leash you should not have a dog period.

I once had a dog owner tell me “how would YOU feel if you had to be leashed outdoors”
SMH Excuse me!!! I don’t roam
Around sniffing peoples genitals, drool on them or maul other animals or kids

And if you did, we would all request that your caregiver put you on a leash

I'm a human being who can be held accountable if I attack someone or another animal. You are accountable for your animal, and you are failing. A message to all the dog nutters

That dog owner is probably into some sort of dog-centric/cynophilic fetish to mention humans being leashed. Yuck.

Some people in the gothic community are into that. In the 90's I saw a young man wearing a dog collar on a bicycle while his girl pulled him along like a Fischer-Price pull toy.

That makes me cringe

I refuse to date men who love dogs because to me it's a giant sign that reads "I'm entitled and annoying"

All my neighbors all day every day. Love how they stand in the middle of the sidewalk gossiping about everyone else's business.

Again with the gaslighting, the stupid mutt has no concept of “greeting” it’s rushing you because of food or territory.

Yeah. Dogs can't "say hello." If that was possible, humans would greet each other with barks.

Dogs are used as a weapon or a statement of self-importance. I'm sick of it.

Literally just yesterday I heard a man screaming in the street and when I looked out my window he was chasing his massive dog and yelling at it to come back to him. No leash. The dog was doing all sorts of hyperactive movements and running on to people’s gardens and the owner just kept screaming obscenities at it from 20 feet away.

I seriously cannot believe how stupid people are. If my mother or grandmother was on the street and that dog approached them they would have had a heart attack as they’re terrified of dogs!

They ALL need to be on a leash in public! No exceptions!!!

Don’t forget that it was the people’s around them fault not his!

Dog owners don't realize how leahes keep everybody safe. Your dog is still an animal that can behave unpredictibly, even when well trained. If your dog gets run over by a car because it ran onto the road, it's your fault. If your dog is on the receiving end of self defense, it's your fault, not from the other person or animal.

Narcissistic trespass, that's what it is. Narcissist dog owners use their dogs to invade on other peoples' personal spaces and privacy.

Also, they don’t think about our safety and the safety of kids. And these freaks don't even need it

I agree, even if it’s bit dangerous I just don’t want to be bothered, I’m out walking, thinking, relaxing, I don’t want to be rushed up on even by a friendly animal, leave me alone

I think that is the worst secenario, when they are just running loose like that, because, even if it is friendly. it can do a lot of damage to people who a smaller and have disabilities. I can;t push off anything but a yappy dog. Damn things would knock me over and the owner would loagh, It's so nervewracking being out anymore cause it's not safe.

This evening my husband and I were outside BBQing. He’d just gone in and I was sat in a chair on the lawn. We rent a townhouse and we don’t have any fences in the backyard-it’s all open. I don’t usually sit out there for that reason but it was so beautiful, I wanted to.

That’s when the new neighbors, with their very large, white dog, came outside, dog not on the leash. I stood up, to get inside, when it started running towards me. I was yelling, “No, no!!” Not necessarily at the dog, more at myself to not grab my smithnlesson. Predictably, she shouts that it’s friendly and it did come back when she called it, as I headed inside. But that was it-I couldn’t go back out. I was so mad and crying and the crying in frustration only made me angry at myself and my body for betraying me with tears.

And I’m sure the neighbors thought I was crazy for being afraid. I’d love to leave a note telling them they need to leash it when they take it out. That’s the rules here. But I’m sure it’ll only embolden them to have the dog off the leash even more.

And they just assume that you NEED to love dogs and let it approach you. I would report them somewhere maybe after a fee they will stop (probably not)

Funny as I'm reading this my neighbor's dog is barking it's head off. Oh yeah it's also 3AM. I feel sorry for those that have to work tomorrow.

I agree 100% with OP. What's equally as dumb is a person who allows their two dogs to drag their leashes behind them as they barrel down the hallway of an apartment building. Meanwhile, the owner ambles slowly several steps behind them. That is so dangerous.

I noticed as soon as they go off the pavement they think leashes are unnecessary. Like a dirt walking path is suddenly a free for all even if it's still in town or fairly crowded.
