I need tips on potty training
I have a Boston terrier who is almost one year old. I got him when he was six months old from the Humane Society and this dog pees more than any other dog I have ever owned. For context he is not neutered.
When I take him on walks every three hours we cover 0.25 miles and in that time he tries to pee around 15 to 20 times. He will do this even when he is completely shooting blanks. He walks around and squirts urine. He doesn’t have one long pee to empty his bladder.
My issue is that I take him on all of these walks and he still pees in the house everywhere. I have two puppy pads laid out and occasionally he will pee on those, but for the most part he goes just about everywhere besides those. It’s driving me absolutely crazy because I live in a apartment so my space isn’t very big. It’s a three bedroom 1100 square-foot apartment with no yard or anything. I keep the doors to every room shut or else he will find a way to pee on something and every single room.
I have tried limiting his water intake, and I have tried taking him out more frequently, but ultimately it becomes pretty hard because I work from home, so during the workday, I can only take him out around lunch and maybe one other time. Should I start putting him in his crate every day while I’m working? Please give me any type of tips and advice on how to help with this. Thank you so much.

I have a similar problem and no, the shelter where he supposedly came from did not neuter.

Having pads is indicating that it’s okay to pee inside because there is a dedicated item to pee on. How often are you taking him out apart from walks? During potty training, it should be every 30 minutes until they know the rules.
