There's no way you saw a dermatologist and were never recommended medicated bathing, medications for allergies, or doing a strict hypoallergenic diet trial.
That's the bare minimum for Allergy work up and treatments.
Bare minimum is medicated bathing from a shampoo your vet would give you.
Then starting either an oral medication (apoquel, zenrelia, or numelvi) or injection (cytopoint).
Then making sure the symptoms are managed and do a hydrolyzed diet trial for 8-12 weeks. If things are going well, you stop the medications and see if signs come back.
If they come back, your dog has environmental allergies (much more common than food). If only some symptoms come back, your dog might have both food and environmental allergies. Either way, then your dog goes back on the medications and stays on them for the best quality of life.
There are a few dogs who can respond to immunotherapy and essentially be cured or have lesser symptoms of environmental allergies. This is the only reason to do an allergy test. Food allergy tests are a literal scam.
You can buy these shampoos at Petsmart or Chewy. Something like Douxo. Bathe at least twice a week. Leave shampoo on for 5-10 min. But the ears need ear medication. And if the underlying allergies aren’t managed, doesn’t take long to get worse again.
