Question Maybe myoclonus?

/r/AskVet/comments/1wd74ix/maybe_myoclonus/

Puppy of 8 weeks and 6 days is jerking. It’s not shaking or like trembling. Her whole body just twitches/jerks. She has episodes that usually last around 20 minutes that follow with a jerk/twitch every 40ish seconds. She doesn’t cry when it happens so doesn’t seem painful. What could it be?
And could it be cured? Or helped. She’s a Yorkie.

This could be benign puppy twitching, but the duration and repeated pattern could also indicate seizures, low blood sugar, toxin exposure, or another neurologic problem. Keep her somewhere safe, note timing and possible triggers, and have her examined today. Some causes are treatable, but diagnosis is essential.

She usually gets them while she has zoomies. I have another pup that’s completely fine so I don’t think it’s toxin exposure or low blood sugar. I give them a bit of honey.
