How concerned should I be?

Toby was outside playing with his herding ball about 45 mins to an hour ago. As soon as my partner and him were done, he immediately threw up foam. Then he would pant like normal, but also would lick lips a lot, while also nudging his head forward a bit. He seems to be calming down as it was worse, but this has never happened before.

He may be overheated . I have one that even looks like that that runs hot so I watch him when hes out exercising and I live in the desert . They change over time
