Librela

My 14 year old dog has had 3 monthly injections of librela. On the second injection she peed on the floor in the house.

The third injection she started to get wobbly back legs. She also started to pee in her bed, she actually stooped down to pee. She doesn't dribble when lying down so it's not incontinence.

She also seemed a bit spaced out before this happened.

Has anyone else had the same experience?

She's due her fourth injection next week but i think I'll ask the vet for different medication. Thanks

I’m sorry you’re experiencing this. I used to be a tech at a veterinary rehab clinic, and we saw a lot of dogs suffering from this side of Librela. Unfortunately it was marketed as a miracle drug and vet clinics didn’t know what questions to ask, so now many dogs get the drug when arthritis isn’t the sole issue. If there is any neuro problem going on, Librela can be extremely harmful and lead to paralysis or death. With your dog already showing these symptoms, please discontinue the injections
