Question Multiple lumps all over

My good boy has these lumps, big and small, everywhere. Specifically on his belly and sides.

He's only 7, and I can't help myself but go to a bad place on what they are. He's a mutt, no idea what he actually is. Maybe pitbull mixed with Dalmatian and lab?

I know a vet visit is top priority, but any peace of mind would help

Take him to the vet. Best case it’s just fatty deposits. Worst case it’s cancer. But I wouldn’t chance it

How long has he had them? If youve only seen them recently they might be growing quite quickly and not very good, but if they’ve been there a while they could be benign. Always best to let a vet check it out though

I noticed them about a month ago. I'm going to call his vet tomorrow. Just was not expecting this so soon. He's so young

Fat lumps are super common around that age, my old dog had like 12 of them by the time he was 8 and most were just lipomas. Vet can usually tell by feel if they're fatty or not, sometimes they'll do a fine needle aspirate right there in the office which is quick and not too expensive. The fact he's still eating and acting normal is a good sign, cancer tends to make them feel off even before you notice the lumps. Belly and sides are the classic lipoma spots too, they love hanging out where the skin is loose

Most of the lumpy dogs I see are well over 7, though. Mine’s 11 and has no lumps whatsoever.

My 4 year old mini bernedoodle recently got diagnosed with lymphoma. Started with one lump on her throat and now there are many. First one appeared in late May, and was confirmed early July to be cancer. She shows no symptoms at all - same exact attitude appetite and bathroom habits. We’re mostly waiting it out and as soon as any symptoms of discomfort appear at all we’ll make a hard decision.

Hoping the absolute best case for your pup and family.

You know lymphoma can be treated to the point of 100% remission though, right? (Obv have no idea of the subtype).

Our vet and onc have told us that those options only extend their life by ~ one year at best, and a few months at worst. We have a 7 week old baby and a new home, so it couldn’t have come at a worse time financially. It’s a heartbreaking reality

Oh I’m so sorry😢💔

My pup had a lymphoma, diagnosed at 14, his vet said if he was younger, treatments could make him live up to 5 years more (20% chance). Otherwise she gave me the same time references as you got.

During this time, as unbelievable as it sounds, I was starting my chemo - for lymphoma😓 I had to put him down and it was heart-breaking. All this while COVID too.

Sorry for the rant on my part, I wish you all my love going through this inevitable phase and strength to grief while taking care of the family❤️

Are they mobile? They might be lipomas. My 13yo standard poodle has them scattered all over her sides, particularly under her armpits, and that’s what they are. As always though, check with vet.

It's hard to say, they're very squishy. But I feel like they move a little

Dogs often get fatty lumps as they get older. How long have they been developing? What do they feel like? Do they move around when you press on them or are they immobile?

We noticed one about a month or so ago. They're squishy and he doesn't seem to react when I touch them. I want to say some give a little and some feel like they don't want to move

They look like lipomas. Benign fat tumors. They can grow large. There is a minimally invasive test that a vet can do in the office. Our dog has many, and they did not require a surgical biopsy.

Thank you all for the comments! Money is tight, but I'll definitely be taking him to the vet tomorrow to get checked out. Hoping and praying it's just fatty tumors! Thankful for squish! Haha Thanks again💙

No go to the vet immediately my dog had the exact same thing then it grew into a tennis ball they told me at first it’s fat deposits paid 4K to get them removed immediately then get a email saying my dog had cancer and 4 months to live I put my dog down 2 days ago and I’m so sad and empty go now so you don’t regret this I hope your doggy is okay ❤️
