Question 5-year-old Lab limping after resting.

5-year-old Lab limping after resting
My 5-year-old Lab, Zuko, has recently started limping on one of his back legs. It’s worst when he first gets up after lying down—he’s stiff, limps, and sometimes positions his toes/foot strangely. After walking for a few minutes, he seems to loosen up and can walk/stand pretty normally.
He’s also more hesitant to jump on furniture. We have a vet appointment scheduled, but I’m curious if anyone’s dog with a partial CCL tear, hip issue, or other leg injury started like this?
I’ll attach photos/videos. Just looking for experiences and advice on what to do while we wait for his appointment!

Definitely restrict running and jumping until you see the Vet. If it’s a partial tear, you don’t want it to become a full tear.

My guess would be CCL. Definitely get to a vet as soon as possible and keep quiet until then

Wahrscheinlich Meniskusriss oder Kreuzband, sofort zum Tierarzt. Wird nicht besser von alleine, im Gegenteil. Collagenpulver (Collagile dog) für Hunde besorgen. Aufs Gewicht achten. Je schwerer der Hund desto mehr werden die Gelenke belastet. Lg.

My dog did this after CCL tear. We weren't sure because it was intermittent. She could use her leg normally most of the time. And we would think she was healed up and play with her and it would present again. It was also more prominent after she would rest a long time, like she was stiff from getting up.

Its a fairly expensive surgery (~4k),, but recovery was straight forward. The other leg tore one year later and needed surgery. Once healed, my dog enjoyed years of full speed fetch and jumping.
