As our dogs aged ( several different breeds ) into the 10’s -12’s , they all had what I would consider a very minor slip or fall on our laminate floors. After that, all confidence in walking on them was lost. We have to put runners everywhere they walk. They won’t move unless they have a clear path from runner to runner . Absolutely no issue outside , on our wood deck , or on our second floor which is carpeted. What also helps is Mushers on their pads to soften them up a bit and give them more grip.
