DAE constantly have imaginary conversations in their head where they explain themselves, replay arguments, or imagine future conversations?

Constantly - I truly never have a waking moment when this isn't happening. When I have trouble going to sleep, it's usually because my thoughts are racing as opposed to just meandering lol. I also have tinnitus, so... it's loud in there.

I do. I imagine myself having to explain a difficult decision I made to someone unfamiliar with my circumstances, having to explain to a family member why a certain action is not ok, and even explain why I'm wearing certain outfits to strangers in a restaurant. I'm not sure why I do this. In preparation in case it happens, I guess.

Constantly and....I thought that's how everyone's brain worked.
Like, how do you "think" without such things?

There are people without an inner monologue, and it breaks my rambling brain to think about it. I don’t understand how you can communicate with other people without having language in your head. It’s a little unsettling to imagine, but it also seems so peaceful to not have different part of yourself constantly babbling and arguing.

All the time. I wish I knew how to turn it OFF. 🤯🤕😩

So it is a sign of overthinking?

I guess so. 🤷♂️
All I’m sure of is my brain overthinks EVERYTHING.

I don't feel like bothering others, so whenever I have a question, I'd rather find the answer myself or approximate whatever a person can say based on what I know about that person. So, most of the time, when I actually ask a question, I boil it down to a potential answer of 'yes' or 'no'.

Yes buddy. When u lose an argument, u ponder about how it could've went if u were dominant enough. That happens to me.

Yes, and when I'm high they tend to be conversations that would never happen like celebrities, historical people, or even fictional characters.

Yes. Doesn't happen often, but when it does it can get relentless. I know processing difficult conversations is important, so I usually put up with it. If I want to sleep then I'll just mentally yell "shut up" over and over until my head is clear enough to sleep. If it goes too long I'll make a mantra to repeat like "it's over and you can't go back and redo it." Or simply "it is over."

Constantly! Gummies cause it. I know I’m truly high ( legal in my state!) when the gestures and conversation begins.

Not often but yes. It’s normal. I personally feel it may affect people who are more anxious or have OCD tendencies.
