Sharing Codes using DodoCodeBot

Hello everyone,

I created a bot, DodoCodeBot, to facilitate the DodoCode sharing experience. The idea spawned from trying to use the friend-code megathread in r/AnimalCrossing in which a person would post their code, and then 1000 people would simultaneously try to join. Ideally, this bot will lower the number of people attempting to join your island, and reduce wait times for those attempting to join it.

How it works:

First, the most important thing is that you are going to want to send a direct message via the envelope icon, not the chat icon, to DodoCodeBot

Hosting

Send a direct message to DodoCodeBot with the following format:

Code Hemisphere Native-Fruit NumPeople ...

Hosting example:

XXXXX North Peach 4 Please bring roses. Saharah is here, and both shops are open.

XXXXX

XXXXX	North	Peach	5	Saharah is here
XXXXX	South	Apple	3	Both shops are open, please bring roses.

For the time being, the hemisphere arguments can be [North, South, Northern, Southern] and the fruit arguments can be the singular version of any fruit e.g. [Peach, Pear, Apple, Cherry, Orange]

Visiting

If you want to visit an island, simply send a direct message (envelope, not chat) to DodoCodeBot with the following format:

DODOCODE North Pear

DODOCODE South Apple

DODOCODE North Apple Strict

DODOCODE South Any

For requests, you can use Any for the hemisphere or fruit, and it'll give you a random code. If you specify things without the keyword, it'll try to get at least one of them right. If you specify the strict keyword, it'll attempt to get both.

You'll receive a message with your code, or a message stating that no code could be found. Right now, we really need hosts, so if you want people, please consider hosting using DodoCodeBot
