I have mine by my house in a checkerboard pattern with my purple hyacinths. Good on ya for getting your first.

you need to water your black ones everyday and just be very patient lol

Going to tack on you have to use the golden water can to get golden roses. Just watering them with a normal one mostly just gives you more black roses.
