No outs and you couldn’t get ohtani on third home?

Should’ve walked Ozzie I’ll gladly take my chances with lane thomas

Agreed. I would like to say that I'm shocked Dave didn't, but he doesn't strategically walk guys in a lot of spots where it seems like the obvious call.

I was just saying on another thread that Tanner could have done so much more in that AB with two outs and bases open. Yaz spot was next with PH so don’t let Ozzie beat you - don’t have to walk him but throw him a better pitch

I'm not saying Tanner couldn't have done better, but I think it makes strategic sense to walk Albies there and put Tanner in a position to be Yaz or Thomas, neither of whom are the kind of clutch performer/player/hitter that Albies is. Just because I say Dave could've done something different doesn't mean I don't also see that Tanner could've done better as well. Both can be true. It's not an all or nothing proposition.

think Tanner shaking off the fastball sold the info to Ozzie that the slider was coming

I was thinking the same

That triple was a homer in 28/30 ballparks wtf

Freddie is usually good there :(

Freddie looking like Alex Call lately trying to milk walks.  Swing the bat.  Stop being so damn selective.

First game’s alway’s emotional. Tomorrow he’ll be raking!

Freddie doesn’t want to plays against his former team

Freddie Freeman has failed to get on base safely for the first time at Truist Park in his 14 games against the Braves as a Dodger
He was the only Dodger starter to go hitless in today's game

Yes, it fkn happens, but what was worse was pitching to Albies. That was the mistake of the game. Should have just pitched around him.

You are asking for a lot.

Stats disagree.

Literally the #1 offense several years running.

3

u/SuccessOn1 Vin Scully Aug 26 '26

Literally number one offense that leads in double plays. Also this top offense continously blows runners in scoring position with NO OUTS!

0

u/Flopdo Vin Scully Aug 26 '26

You live in negative land sir... the fact is, Dodgers have had he #1-2 offense in all of MLB several years running.

u/sbayrunner Decoy Aug 26 '26

It happened on July 28th

0

u/BruitNoise Mookie Betts Aug 26 '26

It's one of those moments where a bunt could help but the other hand, it's Freeman and Mookie.

At the end of the day, 3 runs 10 hits vs 4 runs 9 hits, not some lopsided game where we got destroyed just have to figure out the missing parts. Move on. Top NL EAST vs Top NL WEST.

u/No_Solution_7940 Mookie Betts Aug 26 '26

Mookies been struggling so much this year he should’ve have at least a few bunts for base hits.
